Frequently Asked Questions

Thank you for your interest in One Voice/One Sound (About One Child).  We are an organization of only two (2) women who are committed to teaching the Detection and the Prevention of Child Abuse, with a focus on sustaining the lives of the Children in the African American community.  Due to the high volume of inquiries of interest in One Voice/One Sound, this list of FAQs is provided to address some of them. We hope that your question(s) will be answered.

 H0w did you get my contact information?

Often we are sent the email, postal address or fax number by someone who feels that our information would be beneficial to someone they know, or have simply come in contact with.   We never solicit this information directly from anyone. 

There are times also, when while we are up at 3:00 in the morning marketing, that we might accidentally transpose a number or letter in the information that we receive, causing us to send our information to a different party than intended.   (Fortunately, we have suffered no repercussions from it, and hopefully we won't.)

How long has One Voice/OneSound been around?

We have been around forever in the mind and heart of C.J. Brooks, Author/Writer/Child Abuse Survivor,  and on board for "both" Brooks and Holloway since June, 2001.

How long will One Voice / One Sound be around?

As long Children are Born.

How can I get an Internship with One Voice/One Sound?

There are no Internships here.    This is an organization formed and headed by two women only.  We  all do the work the best we can using what we have, and through the Grace of Our Lord.

How do I make a Financial Donation?

While we DO NOT solicit funds,  any donated funds that we may happen to receive unexpectedly are delivered "directly" to assist Child Abuse Victims throughout the United via the Children's Hospitals.  We make sure of it, by delivering the funds ourselves.

We have also  found in the past that we can get more listeners if the word "Free" is attached to our efforts, besides the fact that Money cannot pay for what we are trying to save.

What about other types of Donations?

If  you are the owner of, or have the same access rights to any Media Source, any way that you can bring about the notification of this work to the people in your State is welcome.  Contact us about using the material on this website, or we will send information to you for printing in your Media.  We also welcome the opportunity to speak live on your "local" Radio or television broadcasts.
